Safi Yamin-Yule
(HE/HIM)
Associate Social Justice Consultant
Safi is a youth activist with a particular interest in climate justice and queer/feminist campaigning. He was heavily involved in coordinating the school strikes at his college and participated in the Extinction Rebellion events of 2019. Before starting university, Safi worked at Ten Years’ Time and Impatience Earth helping the team on a number of projects examining how marginalised communities could be supported by the funding world. In the run-up to COP26, he developed a bibliography and mapping piece of BIPOC, youth, feminist and grassroots climate movements in the Global South in the hopes of increasing the flow of funding going to these organisations.
Safi is currently studying Philosophy and Politics at the University of Sheffield where he is working on a project to develop a green curriculum across different departments within the university.
