Advocacy and Research
‘How Funders Can Act’ is a series of research reports that explore areas of gross under-investment and the need for change within philanthropy.
Our reports enable trusts, foundations and wealth holders to build their knowledge within these issue areas and provide recommendations for action.
Please note that this area of our website is under construction and some of our earlier reports will be added soon.

It highlights the disproportionate impact of environmental breakdown on vulnerable communities, examines philanthropy’s historic and ongoing connections to polluting industries, and shares practical examples of how foundations are responding to the climate emergency. Through case studies, expert insights, and reflections from sector leaders, the report encourages foundations to align their funding, investments, and values in order to support climate justice, protect communities, and drive systemic change..
