Who we are

Ten Years’ Time is a UK-based organisation that builds care and confidence in donors and foundations to resource racial and economic justice.  We are the “data controller” for the personal information we collect and use.

What personal data we collect

We may collect and use personal information about:

• Staff and Associates
• Learning Journey Partners
• Grant Giver Programme Clients
• Learning Partner and Consultancy Clients
• Potential Future Clients
• Experts who support our work
• Other Stakeholders
• Job applicants

This may include:

• Name and contact details
• CVs, applications, and references
• Employment and contract details
• Payment and payroll information
• Client / case records
• Records of participation in our programmes
• Enquiries
• Equalities monitoring information (if provided)

We only collect what we need, and we make sure it’s kept up to date.

How we use your data

We use personal data to:

• Deliver and improve our services and programmes
• Recruit, manage and support staff, volunteers, and trustees
• Deal with enquiries and requests for assistance
• Pay people and manage contracts
• Meet legal and regulatory obligations (e.g. employment law, safeguarding)

• Monitor impact and ensure our work is inclusive and effective

We only use personal data where we have a lawful basis under the UK GDPR. This is usually because:

We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. We only share it with trusted third parties where it is necessary for them to help us deliver our work, for example:

• Funders or auditors (where required but normally anonymised)
• Legal or professional advisors

We make sure any third party we work with meets data protection standards.

Storing your data

We store most personal data securely on cloud-based platforms with appropriate security protections. We only keep your data for as long as necessary and in line with our data retention policy. When data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or destroyed.
