Learning Journeys
Our bespoke learning journeys are for wealth holders, donors, trusts and foundations who want to immerse themselves within the causes that are closest to their hearts and develop holistic, equitable and reparative approaches to their philanthropy
We accompany our learning journey clients on a transformational process of discovery, and radical listening where we hear from and connect with community innovators, frontline workers, social historians, data and policy experts, amongst others. Our approach enables clients to become experts in what they care about most.
Our learning journeys can take place over 4-6 months or 7-8 months. They are tailored towards next-generation high-net-worth individuals and families, as well as established funders who are looking to invest capital into ambitious new ideas rather than following the crowd to safe ground. If you’d like to find out more, please get in touch.

We embarked on a carefully curated learning journey and were guided and challenged every step of the way … Further to this profound learning, the process deepened our understanding of our personal responsibilities within society and shed unique light on how to make good choices to help and empower those that are in need and to find the places where that help is most needed. Philanthropy is now both a desire for us to participate in, as well as an absolute responsibility that we gladly embrace – we are truly grateful for the team’s deep understanding and expertise in navigating this pivotal moment for us.Private client![]()
Working with Ten Years’ Time was invaluable. The team guided us through a listening journey that covered a huge range of different sectors and disciplines. We learnt about issues from many perspectives and backgrounds. It helped shape our strategy and approach to our grant making and gave us much greater clarity on our purpose. We are deeply indebted for their help.Nicholas Ashley-Cooper, 12th Earl of Shaftesbury, Chairman Talbot Village Trust![]()
Working with Ten Years’ Time was a very powerful and memorable experience … The team was committed to ensuring we had a meaningful experience and were able to translate this into practical recommendations … The work we did together provoked deep emotional responses and contributed to our learning as individuals. It also paved the way to a new UK strategy that places the voices of children and families at the centre … The opportunity to hear from people with lived experience was invaluable and has highlighted the importance of recognising and valuing the strength of their contribution to achieving change.Save the Children UK![]()
Grant Givers Programme
Our well-regarded Grant Givers Programme provides people within the grant-giving sector the opportunity to take a step back from their day jobs and spend time amongst peers thinking through new approaches, trends and challenges that the sector needs to better serve communities.
Throughout the programme participants learn from incredible speakers such as Marai Larasi, Zara Todd, Amahra Spence, Harpreet Kaur Paul, Rena Greifinger, Sidney Hargro, Stephanie Brobbey, Baljeet Sandhu, Rachel Muthoga and the Grant Givers’ Movement.
In recent years, we have also developed and delivered bespoke versions of our Grant Givers Programme for inhouse delivery in response to the needs of individual trusts and foundations.
We are in the process of reviewing and refreshing the Grant Givers Programme to ensure it remains relevant and accessible. If you’d like to find out more, please get in touch.

Ten Years’ Time’s Grant Givers’ Programme was an absolute game-changer for me, and I’m still in touch with the fabulous gang of grant-makers who were in my cohort in Autumn ‘21 … It’s a brilliant support network that ensures I keep learning, and I’d recommend the programme to anyone looking to expand their thinking and grow in confidence.Ali Fletcher, BBC Children in Need![]()
Co-op Foundation is a part of the proud alumni of the Grant Givers Programme … it opened my mind to new concepts and the potential for a different, better way to do philanthropy. Now our whole team has gone through the programme … For any grant making organisation seeking to learn about how the funding landscape is changing, Ten Years’ Time and the Grant Givers’ Programme is a great place to start.Louise Snelders, Co-Op Foundation![]()
